Meet Helen V. Apostolico: Financial Steward and Community Leader

Helen V. Apostolico is a principal at Landmark Science & Engineering, where she’s also the Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer. With over 25 years of experience in business and construction financial management, Helen has been a key player in helping Landmark maintain a strong financial footing. Her knack for details and high standards has made a big impact on the company’s success.

Helen’s educational journey is pretty impressive. She earned a Master of Science in Accounting from Widener University, along with a Bachelor of Science in Consumer Economics from the University of Delaware, and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Goldey Beacom College. On top of that, she holds the CCIFP credential from the Institute of Certified Construction Industry Professionals, highlighting her as a top expert in her field.

But Helen’s contributions go beyond her day job. She’s the vice president of the Delaware Chapter of the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA) and has chaired the 2021 CFMA Mid-Atlantic Conference. She has also been active in committees with ABC Delaware and the Committee of 100, promoting the construction industry. Additionally, Helen is the president of the national Ajera Users Association, showing her dedication to industry excellence.

Beyond her professional life, Helen enjoys spending time with her family, including her husband Jim and their two grown children. She loves warm weather and outdoor activities, often indulging in walks, workouts, and relaxing days at the beach. A fan of good company and good beer, Helen’s personal passions mirror her professional ethos of dedication and enjoyment in everything she does. As the current president of the Wilmington-based Caesar Rodney Rotary Club and a past mentor at the University of Delaware's Alfred Lerner College of Business & Economics, Helen exemplifies a commitment to service and mentorship, fostering the next generation of leaders in her community.
